The LG Vu CU920 is stylishly designed for AT & T has an exciting 3-inch touch screen that offer an excellent display of the new AT & T to offer mobile TV, this phone still comes with a TV antenna that can be extended for optimum TV reception. This quad-band GSM phone also works with AT & T’s dual-band HSDPA / UMTS high-speed 3G networks, making it easy to download music purchased from AT & T Mobile Music and Napster emusic partners. Other features have Bluetooth connectivity for communication headsets and stereo music streaming, microSD memory expansion up to 4 GB, access to email and instant messaging, and up to 3 hours of talk time.
Watching movies and videos is a wonderful experience for a phone of its size. The 262,000 color range and 240×400 pixels create crisp images with great detail. The LG Vu supports 3G playback.
The LG Vu has FLO TV, making you able to watch broadcasted TV on the phone in 58 metro areas. Channels include FOX, Comedy Central, ESPN, Nickelodeon, and MTV, CNN and Sony Pictures channel. Now this is broadcast TV without ‘on-demand.’ It’s pretty nice. There is a version of the LG Vu that doesn’t have TV and is $50 cheaper – the LG VU CU915. The LG Vu supports MP3, MP4, WMA, WMV, as well as AAC/AAC+ files. Files are transferred easily with a card reader or LG USB cable. There’s no syncing to iTunes but Windows Media Player syncs well. Mac users are SOL.
A free trial of MusicID, normally $3.99, is preinstalled on the LG Vu. Using Bluetooth stereo headphones is preferred as it will yield better sounds. A downside is the lack of the 3.5mm headset jack. The radio is accessed using XM Radio that is preinstalled and costs $8.99 a month.
