One more standout design feature is the pair of stereo speakers located on the left and right sides of the LG VX8100, which present plenty of volume both during calls and when listening to music or watching videos. The raised keys are evenly spaced and make for quick dialing, and the directional pad makes menu navigation and playing games a enjoyment.
To launch the music player you press and hold the Play button on the front of the device. You can easily pause, fast forward, and rewind your music collection with the flip closed. On top of the LCD, the lens to the 1.3-megapixel camera is positioned to capture lasting memories; activated with the press of the Camera Key along the right side. Navigation and shortcut keys provide convenient access without opening the VX8100. Below the external screen, Left, Right, and Select buttons allow consumers to Rewind, Fast Forward, and Play / Stop when listening to the built-in MP3 player. Pressing the dedicated Voice Dial Key below records and playbacks memos; even activating the speaker-independent voice recognition system.
The VX8100‘s long list of multimedia capabilities also include Video Messaging, allowing Verizon Wireless customers to take up to 15 seconds of video with the integrated 1.3 mega-pixel camera and send their clips to other Verizon Wireless video-capable phones or to an e-mail address. Other mobile media features include Mobile Web 2.0(SM) capability, mobile Instant Messaging (IM), Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) and Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS).
